Honda Begins Testing the Civic Type R-GT

Honda Racing has unveiled a new racing version of the Civic Type R, aptly named the Civic Type R-GT. This car is set to participate in Japan's Super GT Series top GT500 class starting with the 2024 season. The race-prepped CTR has begun testing at the Okayama International Circuit in Japan, marking a new era for Honda's racing endeavors.

Exceptional Performance

The Civic Type R-GT is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. According to Super GT rules, the output is expected to be somewhere in the range of 550 to 650 horsepower. This is nearly double the horsepower of the standard Civic Type R, promising exceptional performance on the track.
